A coletânea reúne trabalhos produzidos por crianças e jovens que participaram das Olimpíadas de Português como Língua de Herança de 2023, promovidas pelo Consulado-Geral do Brasil em Nova York, como parte de iniciativa do Instituto Guimarães Rosa/Ministério das Relações Exteriores. Nesta edição, mais de 80 participantes, com idades entre 6 e 16 anos, foram incentivados a expressar sua conexão com a língua portuguesa por meio de histórias em quadrinhos, combinando texto e arte de uma forma dinâmica e criativa. Essa abordagem permitiu que falantes de português como língua de herança desenvolvessem suas próprias narrativas, unindo imaginação e identidade cultural para compartilhar suas próprias histórias.
